Highline College Health & Life Sciences Building

Higher Ed

The renovation of Building 26 into a Health and Life Sciences building has created an integrated, flexible learning environment to educate the healthcare workforce of the future at Highline College. It has co-located programs, added capacity, and promoted inclusion among students, faculty, and staff in the increasingly integrated fields of Health, Wellness, and Life Science.

The new design provides an open, welcoming environment that supports collaboration among students from diverse programs. As a hub to the west side of campus, the renovation also creates a clear identity and improved accessibility for students to navigate through and around the building.

Highline’s first LEED Gold certified facility, the design prioritizes health and energy efficiency, including natural daylighting, abundant views, recycled and low-emitting materials, indoor air quality, water-efficient landscaping, and minimal construction waste.
